Edward F. Burt

Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 9 at West Clermont Lutheran Church, for Edward Burt who died at his home in Clermont, October 6.

Edward F. Burt, son of Charles J. and Henrietta (Downs) Burt was born September 19, 1889 at Bloomington, Wisconsin. At the age of 2 his parents moved to Hardin, Iowa and the following year moved to Waukon where he spent his youth. He began barbering in Waukon in 1908.

Ed was united in marriage to Amelia Ann Buddenberg March 12, 1912. The couple lived in the Clermont, Postville and Waukon areas. He was baptized and confirmed in the West Clermont Lutheran Church April 2, 1944.

Survivors include his 2 children, Mrs. Leonard Larson of West Union and Charles W. Burt of Waterloo; 2 brothers, Elgie J. Burt and Charles E. Burt, Jr. both of Fayetteville, Arkansas; 3 sisters, Mrs. Emmett (Gretta) Protexter of Sanborn, Mrs. Leona Running of Waukon, Mrs. Edna Stone of Chicago, Illinois; 10 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Interment was in God's Acre Cemetery, Clermont.
