DEATH CLAIMS MRS. CHARLES WEBB
Passed Away Friday in the Hospital at Iowa City Following an Operation

The community was saddened Saturday morning when news of the death of Mrs. Charles Webb became known. She passed away Friday night at the Iowa City hospital, following an operation for tumor of the brain, undergone on Monday.

While she had not been feeling well, the seriousness of her condition was not realized until she entered the hospital.

Ruth Ann Anderman, daughter of Carl and Lois Anderman, was born near Arlington, March 6, 1922. She grew to womanhood in the Maynard community and was graduated from the Maynard High School in the class of ’40.

She was united in marriage to Charles Preston Webb July 30, 1942, and they have made their home in and near Fayette.

To this union were born two children, Ronald Charles and Marjorie Ann.

Mrs. Webb went to the University hospital at Iowa City May 5th because of severe headaches, and passed away May 11 at 10:15 p.m., from effects of a brain tumor at the age of 23 years, 2 months and 5 days.

She leaves to revere her memory her husband, two children, mother, father, and one brother, Ronald Charles, of the U. S. Navy, and a large number of other relatives and friends.

The final service was held at the Methodist church May 14, with Rev. W. R. Noland in charge. Burial was in Grandview cemetery.
