Funeral services for Christine Courtright were held Wednesday, April 11, 2001, at 4 p.m. at Schutte's Clermont Chapel in Clermont, Iowa. The Rev. David Nelson officiated. The organist was Joann Martins, with Ronald Meyer as the soloist. Burial was in God's Acres Cemetery at Clermont.

Christiana (Masterson) Courtright, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Burns) Masterson, was born in New York City on May 7, 1915. She passed away Monday morning, April 9, 2001, in the Palmer Lutheran Health Center at West Union, Iowa. She had reached the age of 85 years, 11 months, and 2 days.

She graduated from high school, and following graduation, attended a business college in New York. Christine was employed by an advertising agency.

She was married to Jerome Fisher on September 19, 1953. To this union a daughter, Gail, was born. The family retired to San Jose, California in 1965. Christine moved to Clermont in 1999, where she lived down the street from her daughter, in the Clermont Apartments. She became a resident of the Eagle Ridge Care Facility in December of 2000.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husbands, Jerome Fisher and Peter Courtright.

Surviving is her daughter, Gail Fisher, of Clermont, Iowa, a sister, Lorraine Filsinger of Pompano Beach, Florida, and 2 nephews, Gary Filsinger of Dallas, Texas, and Brad Filsinger of Florida.

Casket bearers were John Chapman, Doug Guyer, Bud Siebrecht, Mike Lerch.
