On July 20, 1904 he joined his life with that of Anna Marie Wegner. They made their home on the farm where Mr. Wolf was born and raised, until the fall of 1929 when they moved to Oelwein. The Lord blessed their married life with four children, all of whom, with their mother, survive their father and mourn his sudden departure, Harold of Oelwein, Margaret and Marccilla. employed in Chicago, and Arnold of Postville. He leaves also five sisters, Mrs. Katherine Sachs of Lakota, Iowa; Mrs. Lena Breckenfelder of Cedar Falls. Iowa, Mrs. Bertha Kunkle of Oelwein; Mrs. Martha Wegner of Randalia. and Mrs. Lewan Saunders of Vista. North Carolina. His parents and two sisters preceded him in death. Mr. Wolf was well and favorably known, not only in Oelwein but especially in the community, where he had lived until about seven years ago. He held various offices of trust, as township trustee, member of the school board and of the council of the Lutheran church at Aurora. Since moving to Oelwein he with his family affiliated with Zion Lutheran church here, and this congregation loses in him a loyal and active member. His departure brings a sense of loss especially to his life's companion and to his children, to whom the sympathy of their friends and acquaintances is extended in this time of sorrow. His sudden end was caused by the extreme heat on Tuesday, and although all was done that human aid was capable of in the emergency, lie passed away at his home in Oelwein Tuesday evening about six o'clock. Funeral services for Mr. Wolf were held this afternoon of the late home on Fifth Avenue N. E. at 2 o'clock and at Zion Lutheran church at 2:30 o'clock. Interment was made at Woodlawn Cemetery. Con.
