Mary A. (Miculinich) Baych 1884-1944

MICULINICH, BAYCH, MEDLOCK, SLATER, BENEFIEL, NEUMAN, FOX

Mary Antonia Miculinich daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. John Miculinich,
was born in Yugoslavia,
December 18, 1884. She was
united in marriage to Kenneth
Baych, May 28, 1906 in Yugoslavia
and came to this country in
May, 1911 with her husband and
two children, Lawrence and
Mary. They lived in Chicago for
five years where four children
were born, Stella,-John, Lois and
Joseph. They moved to Oelwein
where six children were born,
Charles, Francis, Donna, Anna,
John and Agnes.
Mrs. Baych died Sunday, June
3rd at the hospital in Iowa City.
She was preceded in death by one
son who died in February, 1914.
She leaves to mourn her death,
her husband, five daughters, Mrs.
Mary Medlock and Mrs. Wayne
Slater of Oelwein; Mrs. Ray
Benefiel, Mrs. Walter Neuman
and Mrs. Wayne Fox of Waterloo;
six sons, Lawrence Baych of St.
Paul, Minn.; Louis Baych, Fl/c,
stationed in the South Pacific;
Pfc. Joseph Baych, now in Italy;
Cpl. Francis Baych now in England;
John Baych of the Merchant
Marine and Charles Baych
of Oelwein. Also surviving are
nine grandchildren.
Funeral services -were neld at
Sacred Heart Church, June 7th,
with Rev. Fr. Gregory officiating.
Burial was in Woodlawn cemetery.
Pall bearers were, Tyler
Newton, John Stolka, Sr., James
Quinn, Angelo Trocino, P. D.
Becker, Jr. and James Casey.
Flower girls were Mrs. James
Quinn, Mrs. Leslie Wyant, Mrs.
Tyler Newton and Mrs. Floyd
Oakley.
