Contributor: Connie Ellis (Not related)Funeral services for Maude Fuller of Oquawka, Illinois were conducted at the Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois on Monday September 24 at 10:30 a.m. by Pastor Dan Nelson. Burial was in the Cedar Creek Cemetery in Seaton, Illinois.
Maude was born September 15, 1895 in Hawkeye, Iowa to Edward and Ella (Wickham) Miller. She graduated from the Hawkeye High School in 1914. She received her teacher's certificate and taught one year in a rural Hawkeye school. She married Fred Fuller at the home of her parents on October 15, 1916. After farming one year in the Hawkeye area, they moved to a farm near Waukon, Iowa where they lived until 1963 when they moved to Seaton, Illinois to be near their children. She was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Maude died Thursday, September 20, 1990 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Lois McIntyre in rural Oquawka, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1967, one sister, and one brother.
She is survived by 2 sons, Robert Fuller of Piedmont, Missouri, and Raymond Fuller of Jay, Oklahoma; 5 daughters, Lois (Wendell) McIntyre of Oquawka, Illinois, Helen (Donald) McIntyre of Baring, Oregon, Esther (Robert) Trial of Piedmont, Missouri, Edna Proctor of Modesto, California and Audrey (Pete) Rushman of Ceres, California; 26 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Fred Miller of Hawkeye, Iowa; and a sister, Mary Hilsinger of Jay, Oklahoma.
