OELWEIN — Dean L. Smith, 87, of Oelwein, died Wednesday
night, June 20, 2007, at the Oelwein Health Care Center after a
brief illness.
The family will have a private service at a later date.
Dean is survived by two sons, Larry (Thelma) Smith and Kent
Smith, all of Oelwein; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren
and one great-great-grandchild.
Dean Levitt Smith was born Feb. 20, 1920, in Clinton, the son
of Leslie and Ruth Smith. Dean worked at OCCO for 40 years.
After his retirement, he worked at the Oelwein Vet Clinic for many
years.
