Warren Iliff, age 96, of West Union, Iowa died Saturday March 15, 2008, at the Good Samaritan Home in West Union, Iowa of age-related causes. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 18 at United Methodist Church, West Union, Iowa with burial in the West Union Cemetery. Burnham-Wood Funeral Home in West Union is in charge of the arrangements.

Warren was born December 4, 1911 in West Union, Iowa, son of Royal and Glenn (Woolf) Iliff. He married Dorothy Smith on September 30, 1937 at her parent's home in Elkader, Iowa. She preceded him in death. Mr. Iliff graduated from the West Union High School and attended college for a year. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, then worked at Reliable Cleaners then for the West Union Post Office for 30 years, retiring in 1972.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother and 2 sisters.

Warren is survived by 2 sons, Donald (Mary Ann) Iliff of West Union, Iowa and Kenneth (Mary Frances) of Palm Desert, California; 2 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
