Services for Joan M.(Deeny) Seil, age 70, were held Saturday, October 11 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waucoma, Iowa. Burial was at St. Rose Cemetery in Waucoma, Iowa. She died Thursday, October 2, 1997 in her son's home in Carol Stream, Illinois after a long illness.

Joan was born June 5, 1927 in Waucoma, Iowa to Joseph and Mayme Deeny. She and her husband lived in Lisbon, Iowa. He died two years ago. *His name is not listed in the obituary*

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Myles Deeny and a sister, Rosemary.

Joan is survived by 4 children: Michael Seil of Carol Stream, Illinois, Frank Seil of Phoenix, Arizona, Joseph Seil of Gilbert, Arizona, and Mary Rodriguz of Streamwood, Illinois; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Anna Boland of Springville, Arizona, and Alice Raeman of Phoenix, Arizona.
