Matilda Hanson, age 90, widow of Hans Peter Hanson, a Cedar Rapids, Iowa resident for 10 years died Friday (October __ 1961, but specific day was not listed) following a long illness. She was born June 5, 1871 and for the last 3 years had been making her home with a daughter, Alma Bachman at 349 Seventh Avenue SW in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Her husband died in 1942.

Surviving in addition to Mrs. Bachman is another daughter, Mrs. C.L. Antles of Des Moines, Iowa; 3 sons, Joseph Hanson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Clarence Hanson of Des Moines, Iowa, and Gilbert Hanson of West Union, Iowa; 4 sisters, Josephine Liverson of Hawley, Minnesota, Marie Hanson, Margaret Engelbretsen, and Beatrice Halverson, all of Fargo, North Dakota; 2 brothers, also in Fargao, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her body was taken from the Beatty-Beurle Funeral Home to the Burnham Wood Funeral Home in West Union, Iowa for her services.
