Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. September 25 at the Holy Name Catholic Church in West Union, Iowa for Juanita Hanson who passed away on September 22, 1982. Father Eugene Weimer officiated. Pallbearers were Daniel Petersen, Delwin Beerman, Virgil Smith, Donald Swale, Alan Allbee, and Oliver Fay. Interment was in the West Union, Iowa Cemetery.

Juanita Marjorie Farrell was the daughter of
John S. and Eleanor (Schroyer) Farrell. She was born in West Union, Iowa on January 26, 1895. She attended school in West Union, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Gilbert J. Hanson on March 19, 1917. They were the parents of 4 children: Jean Ellen Hanson who died in infancy, Dorothy (Mrs. Charles) Antes of West Union, Iowa, Mary (Mrs. Patrick) Dooley of Phoenix, Arizona and Robert Hanson of West Union, Iowa. Most of her life was spent in West Union, Iowa. She was a long time member of Holy Name Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gilbert, her infant daughter, Jean Ellen, 1 sister and 2 brothers.

Juanita is survived by her 3 children, Dorothy, Mary, and Robert; 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Vera (Mrs. Lloyd) Weston of Decorah, Iowa; and nieces and nephews.
