- Funeral services for Mrs. Sara Boleyn, of 2149
Indpendence Avenue, who died Wednesday morning
of a heart ailment at the Miller Rest Home, will be
Saturday at the First Baptist Church at Elgin, Iowa.
- The Rev. Eldon Schroeder will officiate. Burial will
be in the cemetery there.
- Mrs. Boleyn was born April 7, 1883 at Hazleton,
daughter of William H. and Anna Miller. She was first
married in 1902 to Roy Boleyn who died in 1908. She
was married two years later to Samuel Boleyn who died
in 1944. She was a member of the Baptist church.

Waterloo Daily Courier - 2 April 1959

Mrs. Sara Jane Boleyn was
born born at Hazelton, April 7,
1883, and passed away April 1, at
Millers Rest Home in Waterloo.
During the past five years she
had made her home with her
granddaughter, Mrs. Jack Hockey
at Waterloo. On March 27, she became
ill and was taken to the
Rest Home where five days later
she passed away. Before living
in Waterloo, she had been a resident
of Elgin for many years.
In 1904, she was married to
Ray Boleyn and to 'this union
were born three children. Sometime
later after the death of her
husband she was married to
Samuel L. Boleyn, and to this
union seven children were born.
She was preceded in death by
both husbands; one daughter,
Mrs. Clarence Connor; three sons,
Donald, Melvin and Alfred.
She leaves to mourn her passing,
three sons, Leo of Elgin,
Clarence of West Union, and
Willis of Conrad; three daughters,
Mrs. Clyde Tear, Waterloo,
Mrs. Kyle Dyke, Waterloo, and
Helena of Prairie du Chien; one
step-son, Ed Boleyn; 28 grandchildren,
(one grandson, Dennis,
preceded her in death), 39 great
grandchildren, also nieces, nephews
and many friends.
Funeral services were held
Saturday, April 4, in the Funeral
Home Chapel, 1:30 p.m., and
in the First Baptist Church. 2(
p.m., with the Rev. Eldon Schroeder
officiating. Interment was at
the Elgin cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robert Boleyn,
Ramond 'Boleyn, Howard
Miller, Gordon Miller, Cecil Connor
and Jim Connor.
Relatives who came to attend
the funeral were from Waukegan,
111., Waterloo, Clive, Conrad, Alpha,
Volga, West Union and Mason
City.
