Frank Alvaro Miller was born in Oelwein, August 12,
1883 and died November 5, 1918 at Talmage, Calif.
When he was a little child his parents moved with
their small family to Nebraska, where Frank grew to
manhood.
- After leaving home he settled at Spearfish, South
Dakota and here he was united in marriage with Miss
Ethel Cuckler on April 15, 1907.
- They lived on a homestead for a few years after
which Mr. Miller took up hospital work at Talmage,
California and while engaged in his regular duties was
stricken with the disease which caused his untimely
death.
- Together with his bereaved wife, his father and mother,
Mr. and Mrs. O. O. Miller and one brother Ralph remain
to mourn his death and cherish his memory.
- Frank was a devoted son, a faithful husband and a true
friend.
- Funeral services conducted by Rev. Dr. Cleworth of Grace
Methodist church were held at the home of the deceased
parents on South Frederick street Monday afternoon. Mr.
Raines of Independence who is an intimate friend of the
family, sang two comforting solos. Interment was in
Woodlawn Cemetery.Oelwein Register - 27 November 1918
