The last service for Edward Whitter
was held from the Baptist church in
this city at 10 a. m. Tuesday Rev.
True officiating. He came to his death
Saturday. February 15 at 1:30 in Eldora
as the result ot an accident. He
was employed in driving a team in the
industrial school near that city and
the horses becoming frightened the
wheels of a heavy loaded wagon passed
over his body, and such injuries were
sustained that death relieved him of
his suffering a few hours later. He
was born in Fayette county eighteen
years ago, and spent a number of years
in this city. He has been at Eldora
for the past three years. Interment
toot place in tbe Oelwein cemetery.
