The death of Mrs. Ernest Underwood as stated in
Saturday's Daily Register, occured Saturday morning
December 7th after an illness of seven months. She
was a victim of the white plague and everything
possible was done for her but in vain. The last services
occur from the Presbyterian Church Tuesday afternoon
Rev. A. E. Moody officiating. Pearl M. Miller was born
in Oelwein July 4, 1886, and was therefore twenty-one
years, four months and thirteen days of age at the time
of her demise. Nearly five years ago she was united in
marriage to Ernest Underwood and to them were born
three children, Opal, four years old, and Donald and
Dorothy, twins one year old. Besides the husband and
children there are left to mourn her loss three sisters,
Miss Maggie Miller and Mrs. Archie Reece of the city,
and four brothers Fonda, James, John and Ray Miller all
of this city. The Sympathy of friends is extended to
the bereaved family and relatives.
