DEATH OF MRS. L.S. OLNEY
IN OELWEIN JULY 1, 1917

Many friends both here and Cedar
Falls regret the death of Mrs. L.S.
(Lillia) Olney who removed here from that
city five months ago. The end came
July 1 following an illness of pneumonia
from which she did not rally.
The last rites took place on Tuesday
in Oelwein, conducted by Rev.
Chambers, pastor of the Christian
church and interment was made in the
Woodlawn cemetery. The deceased
lady was 54 years old last December
and was born and reared to young womanhood
on a farm near Fairbank.
She was twice married, a former husband,
L. C. King, preceding her in
death many years ago. About a year
ago she united in marriage to L. S.
Olney of Cedar Falls, who with two
sons and two daughters by a former
marriage will long revere her memory.
During the short time in which
the deceased lady made her home in
Cedar Falls she greatly endeared her-
self to a large circle of friends, all
of whom, including many in Oelwein,
extend their heartfelt sympathies to
the bereaved husband and other rela-
tives in this, their hour of bereave-
ment.

Note: Lillia (Lillie) Dana was married to Wyman Luther, Charles W. King and L.S. Olney
