Mrs. Mattie Pollock Obituary (1868-1936)

Mrs. Mattie Marie Pollock, nee Bottleman, was born in Clayton County, Iowa, on June 20, 1868, and departed this life at Oelwein, Iowa, on March 22, 1936, after an illness of several years.

On December 31, 1894 she was united in holy wedlock to Clarence N. Pollock at Littleport, Iowa. The early years of their married life were spent at Sidney, Nebraska, at which place their only son, Rudolph N. Pollock was born. Shortly after his birth, the family came to Oelwein where they have resided since.

Mr. Pollock's death occured on January 14, 1927.

Mrs. Pollock leaves to mourn her passing, her only child, Rudolph, with whom she made her home, and two grandchildren, Gloria and Barbara Pollock. She is also survived by two brothers and three sisters, Herman Bottleman of Northwood, Iowa, John Bottleman of Florida, Mrs. Lizzie Ross of Austin, Minnesota, Mrs. Lena Stone of Edgewood, Iowa and Mrs. Mary Gentz of Littleport, Iowa, and by a sister-in-law, Mrs. Henry Bottleman of Littleport, Iowa, together with many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Hintz Funeral Home at 2:00 o'clock on Tuesday, March 24th, the Rev. F. C. Witzigman officiating. Interment was made in Woodlawn Cemetery.
