Services were conducted from the Schutte Funeral Home Saturday, March 28 at 1:30 p.m. for Clara Leonore Heins, who died March 24 of a heart attack, at her home near Clermont. The Rev. Norman Ullestad officiated.

Mrs. Heins, daughter of Charles and Elsie Warnke Kuthe, was born July 4, 1894 on a farm near Farmersburg and attended country schools in that community.

She was united in marriage September 16, 1916 to Ed Heins of Luana by the Rev. Eugene Schmidt. They observed their Golden Wedding Anniversary September 16, 1966. To this union five children were born, three sons and two daughters: Welmer and Harold of Clermont; Harvey of Guttenberg; Mrs. Roger (Aleta) Reeder of Elgin and Mrs. Alfred (Darlene) Olson of Waucoma. Eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren survive.

Most of her life was spent on a farm near Luana where she was a member of the Monona Lutheran Church. They moved to Clermont in 1946 where she had continued to make her home. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Mrs. John (Ella) Schultz and one grandson, Joseph Edward Olson.

Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.
