Charles Spears, formerly of this place,
and at one time city marshall of Sumner,
but for a number of years a resident
of Waterloo, and lately of Cedar
Falls, died at bis home in the latter
place Monday evening. He was a
brother of Mrs.-Gillette and Mrs.
Head of this place and of Hart Spears
of Westgate. The remains will be
brought to Sumner Friday and burial
made in Union Mound cemetery.
