LITTLETON - Leslie N.
Getz, 75, of Littleton died
Tuesday night, Aug. 20, at Allen
Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.
Born Sept. 13, 1909, he was a
Navy veteran of World War II.
He worked in the Oran bank and
for the Chicago Great Western
before entering the service.
After being discharged, he
farmed in the Sumner area for
about ten years, then retired and
moved to Littleton.
Funeral services will be 1:30
p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, at Brant-
Kerns-Jamison Funeral Home
in Oelwein, where friends may
call any time today (Thursday).
Rev. Richard DeVore will
officiate. Burial will be at the
Littleton Cemetery, where
military graveside services will
be held.
• Survivors include his wife
Naomi; a son, Leslie J. Getz of
Waterloo; a daughter, Patricia
Jacobsen of Independence;
three grandchildren; and a
brother, Russell Getz of Dolan
Springs, Az.
