Frank Leo, 74, 725 South Frederick, Oelwein
died Tuesday night, August 20 at Allen Memorial
Hospital in Waterloo.
Born May 24, 1911, he earned a degree in music
at Drake University and sang with Fred Waring at
the New York World's Fair. An Army veteran of
World War II, he was retired grocer, with the James
Leo and Son Grocery Store and lived in Oelwein
40 years.
Funeral services will Friday, August 23 at Sacred
Heart Catholic Church, Rev. Jame Goedken will
officiate. Burial will be at the Glendale Cemetery,
Des Moines.
Survivors include a brother, Louis Leo of Oelwein
and sister Angeline Fortino of Des Moines.
