Ruth Elaine (Nims) Reinertson, age 71, of Fayette, Iowa, died Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Allen Hospital, Waterloo, Iowa from diabetes and heart disease. Services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Bethany Lutheran Church, in rural Ossian, Iowa. S. K. Rogers Funeral Home in Fayette, Iowa was in charge of arrangements.

Ruth was born December 8, 1939, daughter of Melvin and Arlene (Kamaus) Nims. She graduated from the Fayette, Iowa High School in 1958. She worked at Dahlkes IGA and was a cook at Maritas, Lucy's Garden of Eatin' and Prairie View. She was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in rural West Union, Iowa. she married Kenneth Reinertson on June 1, 1958.

She was preceded in death by her two sons, Scott Reinertson and Jeffrey Reinertson, and a brother Les Nims.

She is survived by her mother, Arlene; her husband, Kenneth; a son, Jim Reinertson; 2 daughters, Elaine Schulmeister and Lisa Atherton; 7 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and 2 brothers, Ron Nims and Gene Nims.
