Iva M. Bachtell, age 84, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Monday, March 21, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital, Grand Rapids, Michigan, after a long illness. Services were held at 11 a.m. at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly, Iowa with burial in the Union Cemetery in rural Aurora, Iowa.

She was born near Arlington, Iowa on April 27, 1926, the daughter of Frederick Henry and Elva Delight (Squires) Anderman. She graduated from the Arlington High School and worked for many years at Rath Packing Company in Waterloo,, Iowa. She married Clarence "Kelly" Bachtell on February 11, 1946.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 sisters, Flossie Streicher, Dora Lee Nus, and Gwen Pagel and a brother, Lester Anderman.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda (Kermit) Robbins, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
