On Monday, July 23, at Fayette, occurred the death of Mrs. Alexander, wife of Dr. Dixon Alexander, of Fayette, and mother of E.D. Alexander, who published the Elgin Reporter here a few years ago. Mrs. Alexander was 69 years old at the time of her death and had lived in Fayette since 1857, being one of our county's old settlers.
