Reinbeck, Ia--- Prentiss M. Mettler, Sr., 65, operator
of a coal and feed yard here, died at 5 pm Monday.
He had gone out about 4:30 to feed his chickens,
kept at the feed yard and his wife found him later.
Mr. Mettlin came to Reinbeck 19 years ago from
Garrison and served as manager of the Reinbeck
Lumber company until 1932 when he entered
business for himself, the firm being known as P. M.
Mettlin & Co.
He is survived by his widow, two sons, James of
Eagle Grove and Prentiss Jr., associated with his
father; also two sisters and a brother at Oelwein.
The body was taken to the French Funeral Home.
