Arlington, June 10—C. D. Jewell met
his death by the accidental discharge
of a shot gun here this afternoon He
was a member of the hardware firm
of Jewell, Moyer & Handy and had just
purchased a gun for the purpose, he
stated, of shooting rats. It is thought
that in climbing over some timbers
the gun was discharged, the shot striking
him in the heart killing him instantly.
The body was found at noon today.
