STANLEY - Caroline B. Weston, 76,
of Stanley, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, at
Mercy Hospital in Iowa City of natural
causes.
Funeral services will be Saturday,
Jan. 9, at 2:30 p.m.,
at the Stanley
Union Church,
Stanley, with the
Rev. Ted Justice
officiating.
Burial will be in
Stanley Cemetery.
Visitation will be
from 4 to 9 p.m.,
Friday, at Brant-
Kerns-Jamison Funeral Home in
Oelwein and one
hour before services at the church.
She is survived by four sons, Dale,
Menlo, Dean, Fayette, and Dennis and
Daniel, both of Cedar Rapids; three
daughters, Shirley Smith, Manchester
Joan Luers, Keota, and Sandy Turner
Bakersfield, Calif.; 17 grandchildren;
nine great-grandchildren; and a
brother, Arnold Klink, Ames.
She was preceded in death by her
parents; her husband, Harry, May 24,
1985; and a granddaughter.
She was born Dec. 16, 1916, in rural
Maynard, the daughter of Edward and
Amelia Leistikow Klink. She married
Harry H. Weston Aug. 23,1934, in West
Union.
She was a cook at Stanley School and
worked at Raytheon and Kenistons
Meats in Oelwein and at the Woolco
store in Waterloo. She was a member of
the Stanley Union Church, Royal
Neighbors and the Stanley Cemetery
Board, where she was a past president.
A memorial fund has been
established for the Stanley Community
Center and the Stanley Cemetery.
