OELWEIN — Clement J. Tafolla, 50, of 820 First Ave. SW, Oelwein, died Tuesday, Jan. 5, at Mercy
Hospital of Franciscan Sisters in Oelwein of natural causes. Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 9, at 10:30 a.m., at the Sacred
Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein with the Rev.
James Goedken officiating.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetlery in Oelwein.
Friday, at Brant-Kerns-Jamison Funeral Home, where there will be a parish rosary service at 7:30 p. m.
He is survived by one daughter Tammy Rummel, Vinton; four sons Tony, Oelwein, Terry, Dubuque, Tracy, Oceanside, Calif., and Travis, Mason City; eight grandchildren; three brothers, John and Frank, both of Oelwein, and Jim, Stockton, Calif.; two sisters, Ernestine Vance, Oelwein, and
Sylvia Tafolla, Fayette; and a special friend, Charlene Maxwell, Oelwein.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Nabor.
He was born Nov. 23,1942, in Oelwein, the son of Joseph Robert and Marie Lujan Tafolla. He married Linda Howard, Dec. 31,1962, in Oelwein. They
were later divorced.
He was a machine operator at John Deere Engine Works in Waterloo for 27 years. He was a lifelong Oelwein resident and graduated from Oelwein
Community High School in 1961. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Wadena and Decorah coin clubs, Indee Car Club, Ducks Unlimited and the N.R.A.
Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association
