Funeral services for Lyle Butler,
53, former Oelwein resident, will
be held Sunday at Paradise Chapel
Mortuary, Phoenix, Ariz. He died
at 3:20 p. m. Thursday at St.
Luke's Hospital at Phoenix.
Mr. Butler had been bedridden
for eight years prior to his death.
The family left Oelwein five years
ago to live at Phoenix. He was
associated with his brother, Lloyd,
in the Butler Coal Company and
Farm Store in Oelwein.
He is survived by his wife and
daughter, Jo Lynn: a brother,
Lloyd and sister, Mrs. Raymond
Meyer, Oelwein. A son. David, died
two years ago in Phoenix in a
mysterious explosion when he reportedly
heard noises in the garage
and was severely burned
when he opened the garage door
to investigate.
Mr. Butler will he buried at
Green Acres Memorial Park at
Scotsdale. Ariz.; a suburb of Phoenix.
