Nancy Adeline Flower 1857 - 1956

Nancy Adeline Flower, daughter of Samuel and
Elmira Wetmore Rice, was born Oct. 2, 1857, at
Salamanca, NY and died at Manchester, May 24,
1956 at the age of 98 years seven months and
22 days.

When she was only one year old she came with
her parents to Taylorville, Iowa in which vicinity
she lived her early years.

In 1875 she married James McIntire Flower.
They moved to the farm east of Arlington, where
they lived until they retired to their home in
Arlington. To this union were born two sons,
Edward Lee and Claude.

She was preceded in death by her husband and
one son, Edward Lee. Survivors include her son
Claude, one grandson, Ivan Flower and three
great-granddaughters, Mary Jean, Christine and
Jacqueline Flower.
