Florence Evelyn (Wedo) Holt

Funeral services for Florence Holt were held Tuesday, Feb. 15, 1983 at 10:30 a.m. at the East Clermont Lutheran Church. The Reverend Matthew Bersagel officiated. The Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the East Clermont Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Florence Evelyn Holt, daughter of John and Agnes (Koesling) Wedo, was born Dec. 14, 1904 in Baker, Minn. She passed away Feb. 13, 1983 at the Palmer Memorial Hospital in West Union at the age of 78 years.

She was confirmed at the East Clermont Lutheran Church and educated in the Clermont school system.

On May 14, 1924 she was married to Ernest Lester Holt. They farmed for several years in Clayton County and in 1956 they moved to Clermont where she lived until her recent illness.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ernest, on Aug. 8, 1980, and a brother, Louis Leonard.

Surviving are two brothers, John Wedo of Aurora, Iowa and Charles Wedo of Decorah, Iowa and several nephews and nieces.
