Memorial services for Dr. Wayne Truesdell, age 79, Cedar Falls, Iowa were held on Wednesday, March 2 at the United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls. He dedicated his body to be used in the study of science. Burial will be at a later date at Ottisen. He died Sunday night, February 28, 1988 at Cedar Falls, Iowa.

He was born August 8, 1908 at Arlington, Iowa to Frank and Hattie (Speed) Truesdell. His father was a school superintendent so he lived in various places a young person. Dr. Truesdell was a state school administrator by profession.

He was married to the former Rosina Shursen who survives him. He is also survived by one son, Warren Truesdell of Cedar Falls, Iowa; 2 daughters, Kay Christian, Sac City, Iowa and Becky Davies, Anchorage, Alaska; 4 grandchildren; one brother, Frank Truesdell, Ventura, Iowa and 2 sisters, Joyce Augher, Monrovia, California and Viola Burchett of Arlington, Iowa. Another sister, Evelyn Warren, age 70, of Port Angeles, Washington, died on December 23, 1987.
