Funeral services for Betty A. (Bachtell) Henson, age 66, rural LaPorte City, Iowa were held Saturday, July 9 at the Church of Christ, LaPorte City with burial at Hillcrest Cemetery, Volga, Iowa. She died Thursday, July 7, 1988 at her home from cancer. She was born April 8, 1922 at Arlington, the daughter of Lester and Dulcie (Shupe) Bachtell. She lived at Arlington much of her life. She was a Rath employee in Waterloo for 30 years. In 1946 she married Paul Henson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Elmore Bachtell and two great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Paul, LaPorte City, Iowa; 2 sons, Willie D. Henson Evansdale, Iowa and Paul L. Henson, Chicago, Illinois; 4 daughters, Iris Van Dellen, Las Vegas, Nevada, June Ward, Lawrence, Kansas, April Neuman, LaPorte City, Iowa and Holly Joyce Anderson, Evansdale, Iowa; 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Sam L. Bachtell, Fort Dade, Florida, and Clarence D. Bachtell, Waterloo, Iowa, and one sister, Effie , Mrs. Wendell Myers, Arlington, Iowa.
