Allan Eloyes Anderson, 73, died Wednesday March 26, 1986 at St. Joseph Community Hospital, New Hampton, Iowa. Services were held at Elgin Lutheran Church, Elgin, Iowa. They were conducted by Rev. Duane Berg, with Sara Strong the organist and Art Amundson as soloist. Casket bearers were Harold Halverson, James Anderson, Vernon Anderson, DeVere Halverson, Leslie Anderson, and Leonard Moore. Funeral arrangements were made by Muehlethaler's Funeral Home of Elgin, Iowa. Burial was in the Elgin Cemetery.

Allan was born May 8, 1912 near Clermont, the son of Andrew and Emma (Everson) Anderson. He lived all his life in Fayette County and attended rural schools there. He was a charter member of Elgin Lutheran Church and served on its building committee.

On June 8, 1939 he married Marie Sutter at West Clermont Lutheran Church. They had 2 children, Stanley and Danice. Allan farmed near Gunder until 1952, hauled milk for Maquoketa Valley for the next 16 years and then worked for Torkelson Motors Co., Elgin until his retirement in 1970.

Survivors include his wife, his son Stanley of Elkhart, IN, his daughter Mrs. LeRoy (Danice) Larson of New Hampton, 5 grandchildren and a brother, Ivan Anderson of West Union. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Milo Anderson.
