Ronald Ray "Doc" Copp, the son of Earl and Bernice (Woodson) Copp, was born Sept. 23, 1925, in Waucoma. He was baptized and confirmed in 1948 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawkeye.

He attended rural school and Hawkeye High School.

On Aug. 17, 1952, Ron was united in marriage with Yvonne Weston at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawkeye. The couple farmed in the Fayette and Hawkeye areas until 2004, when they moved to West Union.

Ron was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawkeye.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two daughters, DeLois Ann Stepan, who died in March 1985, and Diane Rae Langerman, who died in September 1986; a granddaughter; three brothers, Arlo, Russell, and Dale Copp; and a sister, June Schultz.

Ron is survived by his wife, Yvonne, of West Union; two grandchildren; a stepgreat-grandchild; a sister, LaVera Dralle of Allison; and a brother, Larry Copp of Hawkeye.

The family suggests that memorials may be made in Ron's name to Trinity Lutheran Ewalu Campership.
