CROSS, MEYERHOFF, LAUCK, NEBEL, LENIUS, HODGES, HUNTINGTON

David Cross, 81, died at his home 1 1/2 miles north of Westgate at 6:30 p. m. Monday. His body will be at his home after Wednesday noon and services will be conducted at the Union Evangelical church, three miles north of Westgate at 2 p. m Thursday, June 12. The Rev. M. E. Shank will officiate and burial will be in the Union Evangelical cemetery north of Westgate.
Mr. Cross, a farmer, is survived by his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Rosella Meyerhoff. St. Louis,
Mo.; Mrs. Miranda Lauck, Tripoli; Mrs. Ida Mae Nebel, Louisville, Ky.; and Mrs. Gertrude Lenius, Westgate; also a son, William Cross, Westgate; 14
grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Harry Hodges, Greenfield, la., and one brother, Robert Cross, St. Paul. One daughter and two sons preceded him in death.
He was born Nov. 11, 1870, in Bennington, Vt., the son of Eugene and Carrie Huntington Cross. He had lived on his farm north of Westgate for the past 39 years. Hintz funeral home of Oelwein
is handling arrangements.
