Anton Reinking was born in Westphal, Germany on
March 16, 1864. He died on May 6 (1953) at the age
of 89 years. At an early age he came to Indiana with
his parents.
He with his parents, moved to Iowa and settled in Cedar
county on a farm near Lawden. He married Marie
Schwier on October 21, 1892. The couple had nine
children.
In 1917 the family moved to the Westgate vicinity.
Surviving are his wife, three sons, six daughters, 28
grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the home and at St. Peters
Lutheran church.
