Stacy Mitchell Andrews was born Mar. 19, 1881 at Perry, la , and died May 18, 1953 at the age of 72. He was the son of Charles and Mary Ridnour Andrews. He spent his childhood on a farm near Perry, and later taught school in Dallas County, He entered the Los Angeles College of Osteopathy and graduated in Jan.1911.
He began practicing osteopathy in Oelwein July, 1911, and continued in this practice until his death.
March 15, 1905 he was united in marriage to Leila Rausch at Perry.
They had four children: F. Anita Threlfall, Minneapolis; Hilbert B., Omaha; Arvid I., Philadelphia: and Milton L., Oelwein.
Dr. Andrews was a member of the First Christian church for forty-one years. He was an active member of the I.O.O.F. of which he was a Past Grand. He was also member of Encampment No. 162, and Rebecca Lodge. He was a member of the Oelwein school board for three years serving as president in 1917.
Besides the four children he is survived by his wife, four grandchildren, three brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral services were held at the First Christian church Thursday, May 21st, 1953 with Rev. C. R. Prichard officiating,
resting place was at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Oelwein, Iowa
