WESTGATE (Special)—Funeral
services for Mary Reinking, 92,
were held at St. Peter Lutheran
church at Westgate July 1. Burial
was in the Lutheran cemetery.
Mrs. Mary Reinking was born
in West Phalia, Germany on Feb.
27, 1876. She came to America
in 1889 and settled in Cedar County.
She was married to Anton
Reinking Oct. 21, 1892 in Trinity
Lutheran church at Lowden. Nine
children were born. One daughter,
Mrs. Otto (Alma) Bartz preceded
her in death. In 1917 the
family moved to a farm near
Westgate where they lived until
1936 when they moved to Westgate.
She was a life long member
of the Lutheran church.
Survivors are Anna, Mrs. Harry
Lett, Wilton Junction; Mrs. M. H.
(Minnie) Bender, William and
Amanda of Westgate; Henry, Oelwein;
Mrs. Edwin (Emma) Berghoefer,-
Hampton; Walter, Sumner,
Mrs. Raymond (Lilly) Iserhott,
New Liberty; 28 grandchildren;
74 great grandchildren and
four great, great grandchildren.
