A longtime Oelwein resident,
Mabel C. Fiedler, 74, 507 South
Frederick, died Saturday at St.
Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
Funeral services are pending
at Brant-Kerns Funeral Home in
Oelwein where a memorial fund
to the Cancer Society has been
established. When services are
set, they will be held at Sacred
Heart Church in Oelwein. Burial
will be in Holy Cross Cemetery,
Stockton, Ill.
She is survived by two
daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Joan)
Michels, Cedar Rapids, and
Mrs. Robert (LaRae) Forland,
Independence; eight grandchildren;
two greatgrandchildren;
three sisters;
and one brother.
