WATERLOO — Paul F. Fauser, 70, of Waterloo, died Monday, March 30, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo of heart failure.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, April 3, at First Reformed Church in Evansdale.
Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo, where graveside military rites will be performed by Becker-Chapman Post 138 of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1623.
Visitation is from 2 to 9 p.m., today, Thursday, at Chapel of Memories-West Funeral Home in Waterloo, and an hour before services at the church, Friday.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; a daughter, Colleen Rowenhorst, Waterloo; three grandchildren; a brother, Victor, Cedar Falls; three sisters, Maxine Koehler and Anna Mae Sellers, both of Oelwein, and Barbara Doughty, Hudson.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Paul. He was born June 24, 1921, in Fayette, the son of Peter H. and Alma L. Lantz Fauser. He married Evelyn Rudolph, April 4, 1948, in Dunkerton.
He worked for Iowa Public Service Co., as a bookkeeper for five years. He was a barber in Dunkerton for 25 years. He worked for US West Communications- as a bookkeeper for seven years, retiring in 1986. He served in the Army during World War II, in the European theater from 1942-45.
Memorials may be made to the church's memorial fund.
