Brodie Lyn Lantzky, infant son of Brian and Heidi (Dorn) Lantzky, was born July 17, 2010, at Community Memorial Hospital in Sumner, Iowa. He died shortly after birth.

Brodie was baptized at the hospital by the Rev. William Runaas Jr.

Private funeral services were held Tuesday, July 20, at United Methodist Church in Alpha, with the Rev. Judy Alford officiating. Interment was held in Bethel Cemetery, rural Hawkeye.

Arrangements were handled by Becker-Milnes Funeral Home, Sumner.

Preceding Brodie in death were his great-grandparents, Reuben Heidemann, Harvey and LaVon Lantzky, Jim and Berdina Klodt, and Charles and Margaret Dorn.

He is survived by his parents, Brian and Heidi Lantzky of Hawkeye; two sisters, Brittany (William) Schmitt of Spillville and Dayle Lantzky, at home; his maternal grandparents, Gordon and Anita Dorn of Denver, Ia.; his paternal grandparents, Roger and Deb Lantzky of New Hampton; his maternal great-grandmother, AuRae Heidemann of Denver, Ia.; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
