As Amanda Jane Carnicle, she was born Nov. 12, 1863 in Clinton county On October 24, 1882 she was married to Cyrus Hines. Survivors are her aged husband who is seriously ill, an adopted daughter, Ida, one brother, Greenberry Carnicle, of Strawberry Point, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ann Hines of Strawberry Point, and Mrs. Will Josephine Brownson of Waterloo, three half brothers, Cy Carnicle of Strawberry Point, Will Carnicle of Edgewood and Jacob Carnicle of South Bend, Nebr.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Park Anderson, Methodist pastor, Monday morning at the Gill Funeral chapel. Casket bearers were Dave Whetstone, Ed Donath, Bert Huntington, John Fredrick, Ray Shriver and Ed Thomas. Burial here.
