Former area resident Edna M. Jorgenson, 77, died Sunday, June 20, 2010, at her home in Lake Havasu City, Ariz.

Edna Marie Jorgenson was born Dec. 21, 1932, in Westgate, Iowa. to Oscar and Rose Marie (Heller) Jorgenson.

She worked at Douglas Aircraft in California for 20 years before moving back to Iowa. Edna and Ethel Singer bought the Elgin Tap and operated it for 11 years. They then moved to Arizona, where Edna had lived since.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Edwin; a sister, Adeline; a nephew and a niece.

Edna is survived by a brother, Clarence (Marilyn) Jorgenson of West Union; two sisters, Doris (Gordon) Kleppe of West Union and Elna (George) Campbell of Lake Havasu, Ariz.; many nieces and nephews.
