Funeral services for Kathleen "Kathy" M. Clemen, 58, of Oelwein, Iowa, will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 9, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oelwein, with Father Harry Koelker officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Service time has been postponed until Friday due to flooding in Oelwein.

Friends may call 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Geilenfeld Funeral Home in Oelwein, with a parish rosary at 4 p.m. and a scripture service at 7 p.m.

Kathy was born Oct. 6, 1951 in Waterloo, the daughter of Raymond and Lillian (Horna) Knipp. She graduated from Waterloo Columbus High School in 1969 and from Hawkeye Institute of Technology as an LPN in 1971. Kathy married James "Jim" H. Clemen on July 12, 1975 at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Waterloo. She was employed at Grandview Healthcare Center in Oelwein.

Kathy and Jim were longtime active members of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. They enjoyed motorcycle riding and promoting motorcycle safety throughout the area. Kathy also enjoyed camping, line dancing and crossword puzzles.

Survivors include her husband Jim, her children, Cindy Clemen of Cedar Falls, Sharyn Clemen of Waterloo and Jason (Corinna) Clemen of Waterloo; a granddaughter Maiya Clemen; siblings, Helen( Joe) Hellman of Washburn, James (Conchita) Knipp of Waterloo, Mary (Jerry) Sisemore of Roseburg, Ore., Gerard Knipp of Dunkerton, David (Marcia) Knipp of Waterloo; brothers-in-law, Kevin (Carol) Clemen of Amana, and Wayne Clemen of Masonville; two sisters-in-law, Kathy (Steve) Dolan of Manchester and Laura (Dan) Kaiser of Masonville; Jim's parents, Bob and Helen Clemen of Masonville; four godchildren, Don Hellman, Kesha Bean, Tamara Dolan and Lynn Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew Joe Hellman.

A memorial fund has been established by the family.
