Funeral services were held for Russel L. Larson on Tuesday, March 8, 1:30 p.m. at the West Clermont Lutheran Church. Rev. Donald Loots officiated. Schutte Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in God's Acre Cemetery, Clermont.
Russel Lawrence Larson, son of John and Amalia (Anderson) Larson, was born November 15, 1913 in Fayette County, Iowa. He died March 5, 1988 in Palmer Memorial Hospital, West Union, Iowa.
He attended the Clermont Schools. On March 15, 1935 he was married to Lillian Olson in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota. They were the parents of 3 daughters.
Russel was a contractor and lived in several areas with his family including Clermont, Cedar Rapids, Manchester, Texas, California, Oregon and Arizona.
He is preceded in death by his wife, who died July 13, 1985, 4 brothers, Edwin, Joseph, Harold and Millard and 3 sisters, Mabel Peck, Alta Blood and Ida Arness.
He is survived by 3 daughters, Sylv?? [Sylvia?] Wade, Westmont, IL, Sandra Larson, Mount Shasta, CA and Rebecca Reilly, San Francisco, CA; 3 grandchildren, Cynthia Sterka, David and Sara Wade; one great-grandson, Kenneth Sterka; one brother, John, West Union; two sisters, Viola Arness, Decorah and Gladys Gulsvig, Waterloo.
Casket bearers were Kenneth, Laverne, Edwin, Richard, Anton, Harold and Clarence Larson.
