Services were conducted Wednesday, December 1, 1971, at St. Paul Lutheran church, Postville, for Albert R. Lubke, who died Monday, November 29, at the Community Memorial Hospital, Postville. The Rev. Norman Ullestad officiated.

Albert Richard Lubke, son of Herman Lubke and his wife Amelia Griebenow Lubke was born in Stettin, Germany, March 4, 1894. He came to the United States in May, 1894.

Mr. Lubke attended a rural school near Clermont. After the death of his father he assumed responsibility of the family farm.

He was married December 25, 1919, to Susie Gruver of Clermont. They lived on the family farm until 1931. For the past 33 years he had been a Watkins dealer.

Mr. Lubke became a member of St. Paul Lutheran church, Postville, in July 1956.

He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Carl, Herman, Eric, Jack and Julius, a half brother Franz and a half sister Amelia.

He is survived by his wife Susie; a brother Max of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Thompson and Mrs. Amanda Baker, Postville, several nieces and nephews.

Burial was in the Postville cemetery.
