Eric C. Lubke, 55, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and formerly of Onalaska, Wisconsin, died Saturday, July 22, in Veterans' Hospital, Denver, Colorado. Cause of death was not available.

He was born May 4, 1923, in Clermont, Iowa, to Carl and Gladys Lubke.

He was a World War II veteran, serving in the European Theater. He received three campaign battle stars, the American Theatre Service Medal, the European-African-Middle Eastern Theatre Service Medal and the Bronze Star. He was a member of the Ski Troopers.

Survivors are his mother, a son Karl, and a daughter Heidi, all of Onalaska.

He was preceded in death by his father, in 1954, and by a sister.

Private funeral services were held Thursday, July 27, at 11:00 a.m. in Onalaska Cemetery, with the Rev. L. L. McCormick officiating.

Fossum Funeral Home, Onalaska, was in charge of local arrangements.
