The death of Milton Dewald occurred at his home near Fairbank last Monday morning after an illness of two weeks.

Milton Dewald was born at Mooreland, Lycoming County, Pa., January 29, 1848 and came to Iowa with his parents about 50 years ago and settled near Fairbank and has made his home here ever since. He was married to Lucinda Adams on Feb. 10, 1873 and to this union were born five sons and five daughters, nine who survive their father. The funeral was held at the M. E. church on Wednesday morning Feb. 26. The services were conducted by Elder J. S. Roth, of Grinnell, interment in Fairbank cemetery.
