Mrs. Catherine Kane, wife of Harry Kane, died at her residence seven miles north of Fairbank, Wednesday, August 17th, at 12 o'clock noon. Mrs. Kane has been for some time in failing health and her death was not unexpected. The funeral services took place at the Catholic church in Fairbank, Thursday forenoon, and the remains were buried in the Catholic cemetery. The deceased was about 67 years of age and leaves a husband and six living children to mourn her loss. Her children all life in this region; their names are James, John and Matthias Kane, Mrs. Bridget McCormick, Mrs. Maggie Everett, and Mrs. Mary Lyons. The mourning friends have the sympathies of the community.
